MA

I designed and ran the MA programme of the Centre for the Study of the Country House, with approximately ten students per annum graduating. I have also supervised two research MPhils (Herbert and Murphy) and one research MA (Clark). External Examining I am currently (from 2011) external examiner for the MA at St Andrews. Earlier, I was an external examiner for BA and MA at the Courtauld Institute: for the BA (Medieval and Renaissance Sections) and MA (Medieval Section) 1998-2001 and for the MA, University of Manchester, 2001-4. I was external assessor of the RAE 2008 pre-submission for another university and have assessed the case for promotion to a full chair at a top American University.
